Stefano SAETTA Curriculum Vitae

 

Stefano SAETTA works  at the Engineering Department - University of Perugia.

Master in Electronic Degree in 1991, Assistant Professor in 1995, Associate Professor since 2004.

He teachs Industrial Plants and Management of Facilities and Industrial Logistics.

He was visiting professor at Rutgers University, NJ, USA and at Arizona University, AZ, USA in several period during 2007, 2008 and 2009.

He held seminar for students and phd Students at the Metropolitan University of Leeds in 2007 and at the Goettingen University in 2012 and 2013.

His research fields cover: modeling and simulation of logistic and productive processes, methods for the management of life cycle assessment, discrete event simulation, supporting decision methods in industry,Lean production.

He was responsible in several national and international research projects: ISACOAT - Network on Integrated Scenario Analysis of Metal Coating, supported by The European Union;  GIPIETRE, as responsible, supported by the Italian government and in cooperation with companies in Brazil and China. He was responsible for the Perugia Unit of the project VOC less pulping, supported by European Union within the Life framework, with partecipation of universities and research center from Finland, Italy and Germany.

He is an expert evaluator for national and european industrial engineering projects since 2009.

Chair at the Invited Session "Resource Efficiency in Interorganisational Networks" at the 27th European Conference on Operational Research, Glasgow, July 12-15 2015. 

He was appointed as Member of the Scientific Commitee for Industrial Engineering at the University of Perugia in 2015.

Qualified as Full professor of Operations Management (Impianti Industriali) in 2014

He was president of commission for the defense of PhD in Engineering of Fire Protection at the Università Politecnica di Bari in 2014.

He is responsible of many research projects of his department, funded by Italian ministery of univerisity or by other entities.

He is a member of the committe of the Industrial Engineering Doctorate at the University of Perugia.

He Is member of associations such as AIDI (Italian associations of univeristies professor of Industrial Plants), SCS (The Society for Modeling and Simulation). He has been track chair and program chair of several international conferences about modeling and simulation.

He is reviewer of top journal in industrial engineering.

He is author of nearly 100 publications.
